Following recent investment and growth OPM has an immediate vacancy to join our existing Studio Team; we are seeking a motivated individual as a Senior Repro Esko Operator in a permanent position. You will be instrumental in furthering our reputation for great print and customer service and be part of successful BRC /ISO pharma accredited business who believe in quality, innovation and most of all its people!

What we are looking for:  Commitment, Passion, Drive and Focus

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience within a high-pressured reprographics environment. Primarily, you will be able to demonstrate the ability to adapt, create and fully repro flexo (including retouching) artwork for labels and flexible packaging to meet our client’s high expectations. OPM print onto many different substrates offering a wide variety of decorative and functional self-adhesive labels and flexible packaging products so versatility, ability and the desire to learn are key.


We would expect the ideal candidate to be proficient in using the following:

Adobe Creative Suite, predominately Illustrator & Photoshop.
Esko Deskpack plugins, ESKO Automation Engine - automated workflows.
Stepping files using Esko software.
Experience of using GMG Colour Management Software.
Flexographic repro knowledge with regard to Flexible packaging and self-adhesive labels and working with pattern white inks, varnishes and other decorative print finishes.


Job duties and responsibilities will include:

Pre flighting supplied client files for suitability of process
Preparing customer supplied artwork for labels and flexible packaging through to fully repro’d stepped files using automated workflows
Colour managed proof output - using our GMG integrated process.
Liaising with Production /press team to gain greater knowledge of products
Ability to QC files to print specifications using ESKO Digital Comparison software


The following skills would be advantageous but not essential:

Understanding of Workflow systems and how to create them
Ability to read print data and produce Dot gain curves
Ability to create colour profiles from print data
Ability to review files and recommend technical changes based on flexo print specifications


Qualifications/Skills Required:

• A positive attitude to achieving deadlines within demanding time frames & be an excellent team player,
• Good problem solving skills
• Packaging industry experience/exposure
• Solid technical understanding of flexographic print labels and flexible packaging
• High level of attention to detail.
• Excellent time management and communications skills
